Science North is a snowflake shaped science museum in the Greater city of Sudbury and is Northern Ontario's most popular tourist attraction. Dynamic Earth is an interactive geology and mining history museum. Owned and operated by Science North, Dynamic Earth offers visitors a chance to interact with the earth sciences, learn about the city's mining heritage and plunge 7 storeys under ground to explore mining first hand.
Dynamic Earth is also home to the internationl landmark the Big Nickel, a 30 foot high replica of a 1951 Canadian nickel. 2019 will mark the 55th anniversary of this popular tourist attraction.
